Getting a new business number is quick, and you do not need any new equipment. Calls are diverted to the phones you already have. Here is how it works with Alphatalk.

Step 1: Decide what kind of number you need

Think about who will call you. Local customers respond well to a local area code such as 0121 or 0161; a London number suits businesses that want a capital presence; freephone 0800 numbers are best when you want to remove every barrier to calling; and 03 numbers give you one national number that costs the same as a landline call. Our guide to virtual numbers compares them all.

Step 2: Find your number

Use Find a Number to search our stock. You can filter by area code or number type, or type the digits you would like the number to contain. Each number shows its tier:

  • Standard: no setup fee;
  • Silver and Gold: easier-to-remember numbers with a one-off charge;
  • Platinum: the most memorable numbers, price on application.

Step 3: Tell us where calls should go

Add the number to your cart and enter the phone number calls should be diverted to, any UK landline or mobile. If you use our cloud phone system, the number can ring straight into it instead.

Step 4: Check out

Review your cart, add your details and pay online. The number is £4.99 a month, including 1,000 free UK minutes, plus any one-off charge for a memorable number. Prices exclude VAT.

Step 5: We set it up

Our team activates your number and confirms by email. If anything needs checking, we will call you.

Step 6: Manage it online

In myAlphaTalk you can change where calls go, set time-of-day routing, record greetings and see who has called, whenever you like.

Would you rather talk to someone?

If you are not sure which number to choose, or you need several numbers or a full phone system, call us on 0207 177 5000 or send us a message. We reply within one working day.
