Virtual number

What is a virtual phone number?

A virtual phone number is a telephone number without a directly associated telephone line. This is also known as an access number or Direct inward dial (which is also classed as DID). Usually, these numbers are programmed to forward incoming calls to one of the preset telephone numbers. They can either fixed or chosen by the client. These numbers can work as a gateway between traditional calls to PSTN and VOIP.
